Just thought it was interesting how the snow stuck like this on the hatch and only on the hatch. Any Ideas?
Its a handbrake joke, not a male reproductive joke. Sheesh grow up.

I'd bet money that the spoiler played a massive role. I'm just too tired to put an explanation into words.

Typically any big flat surface on the rear of a car is going to cause a backdraft back towards the car when it's quickly moving forward.
I drive a 4runner, same thing. Pretty much anything with a wagon body/big hatch will do it.

Is that a Fiesta ST on steel wheels?

It's a hatch thing

yes, its a low pressure zone, the snow passes over the car at a higher pressure and the low pressure zone pulls the snow to is and it deposits to the glass

It may have something to do with the low pressure area that is created by the shape of the body. My guess is since it is such a large area in the back that the wind has no effect on the snow because the wind flows right by it.

Yeah it has to do with the fact your hatch creates a vacuum behind you. Nice Fiesta btw, love the spoiler and looks great on steel
Edit: ST????
Edit: It is holy shit Noah I had no idea! Damn, truly awesome car, damn I just pictured you handbrake turning in a silver Fiesta sedan or something. Jealous

I dunno man you just say Fiesta like it's no big deal, so I assumed it wasn't one
There's a guy around here with a a Focus ST, same color and also on black steel

Just snows. The stock tires are unusable under 40F. 15's look a lil funky compared to the stock 17's but they work perfectly

Yeah, but who cares, it's all about function, and 15" tires are so much cheaper! Smart move

This is where the snow gathers if you perform a male mating ritual. On the side.

"Just hatchback things"
Happens to mine too. Makes cleaning under the spoiler a huge PITA

Nice car! I've heard the Fiesta is even more fun in the snow than the Focus (easier to rotate).
I couldn't believe how much snow can accumulates on the hatch:
And those two 'vents" on the spoiler actually do keep a lot of snow off of the back window:
